Cancellation Policy
Last updated: September 3, 2026
1. Resort & Vendor Policies Govern
As your travel advisor, we negotiate your contract, but the resort, airline, and any other vendor you book with sets its own cancellation, change, and refund terms. Those terms — including deposit schedules, final payment dates, and penalty windows — are disclosed to you in writing before you confirm any booking, and they are what actually govern your reservation.
2. Deposits & Final Payments
Most resorts require a deposit to hold your room block and a final payment by a set cutoff date before travel. Missing a final payment deadline can result in the loss of negotiated room concessions or the reservation itself. We track these dates as part of coordinating your group and will confirm them with you directly for your specific contract.
3. Our Advisory Services
Any service fee charged for our advisory and contract-negotiation work will be disclosed to you directly and in writing before you engage us, along with whether and how it is refundable if you cancel. We do not charge hidden fees.
4. Travel Insurance
Because resort and airline cancellation penalties can be significant close to your travel date, we strongly recommend every couple and guest purchase travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, interruption, and medical emergencies. We can point you to reputable providers as part of planning your wedding.
5. Force Majeure
Cancellations or changes caused by events outside a resort's or vendor's control — severe weather, government travel restrictions, and similar events — are handled under that resort's or vendor's own force majeure policy, not by Destination Wedding Planners or Travel Time Agency directly.
